Nightstop is a new service from Aberdeen Foyer that supports young people who find themselves out of their normal home, but with nothing in place for an immediate bed for the night. Foyer’s Nightstop pairs them with a host, who have a spare room that can be used from one night, up to 2 weeks.
We needed to make an animation video that explained a little of what it was about, but to also engage with potential hosts and direct them to the website to find out more. We chose a night time colouring along with character style in-keeping with the Foyer style. The voice over was recorded in our studio with the co-ordinator running the project. Bespoke music, created in-house.
We were asked to create a launch video or their e-obs tool which was now being promoted online. We created infographics and illustrations that told the story and simplified the workings of this tool. We worked with Kirstin Gove for Voice over and wrote a bespoke piece of music that would compliment the visual story.
An example of animated graphics, combined with a voice over and bespoke music to create an introduction video for the client to use on social media and shown at training sessions.
Tea Shack News rebooted was a new design of newsletter to engage the workers offshore. We wanted to step away from traditional newspaper and bring some engagement and fun to the look and feel.
Animation objective: A moving image for the client’s website
After creating a set of characters we then turned them into an animated waving video file. This was used as a banner on the clients website. Linking print, and online animation strengthens the Tea Shack News brand and brings it to life.
Aberdeen Foyer’s Reboot project were asked to facilitate a group of young people from six different areas of Aberdeen, to document their journey towards engaging with other young people about topics that affect them. From initial storyboard and recorded voice overs, Foyer Design pulled it all together using a fun cut out style, with music and sound effects to create an interesting animation that told their story.
RSPB created a learning project for primary school children in Aberdeenshire that was all about Peat Bogs and their importance to the environment. We were asked to take some of the children’s rough sketches and ideas and turn them into a short story of what they had learned. Using voice overs recorded at the school, and their rough storyline, we created this animation which was premiered in their exhibition. It was a very fun and rewarding partnership with RSPB, with lots of great feedback from the children and teachers.
Foyer Graphics are fortunate to be an enterprise of Aberdeen Foyer and provide design work to the charity. Video has become an essential way to communicate with people and especially with younger people who may not be in education or employment. Telling stories, explaining programmes and funding applications are all among the samples we have here.
The team created this animated video which brings together a storyboard of illustrated characters, specially written music and a professional voice over. The purpose was to create a tool to inform the general public about what goes on within our charity - the Foyer. The video has many uses; social media, website, presentations, staff induction, funders etc. If your organisation requires a video, please do get in touch.
This short video was created to show what the young people had been up to on the Foyer Futures programme over the summer. It was using their words and their photos to describe the positives they gained.
This video was created for a funding application.
Prince’s Trust Team approached us to create a simple but effective video to give young people a small insight to how fantastic this 12 week course is. We used photos from the young people and a painted effect to echo some of the community work they do.
Roadwise Driver Training asked us to create something visual for their social media platforms, that would appeal to potential learner drivers. We used an actual drone photo of the top of one of their learner cars and animated it with working lights and driving across the screen, to reveal the messaging.
Animated video created for our client Roadwise.
This video was created to explain the process of viewing and signing for a tenancy with Grampian Housing Association during COVID-19 restrictions. It needed to be easy to understand and short. We worked with GHA to create a storyboard and script, so that we really understood the process and could then create a solution.
