East Grampian Coastal Partnership approached us to design their ‘Discover Maps’ project.
Discover maps is a unique series of 4 OS sized maps, covering the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire coast. They contain a wealth of interesting information about the coastline, including the people, history, nature and landmarks that make the North East of Scotland special.
Phase one was to create and populate 4 PDF maps full of rich content but with scope to add more after community consultation.
Phase two is underway and EGCP are consulting with community groups to gain their insights, memories and stories. If you wanted to contribute a story please visit their website: www.egcp.scot
Eventually these maps will be printed once phase two is complete.
Cover illustrations feature work by local artist Ian Thomson

We were approached to design their annual report for 2023. It was a pleasure working with them to produce a printed report that showcased their projects, events and the community. We featured landscape contour lines, close ups of textures and represented the people who are working hard to restore a thriving community.
Step Change in Safety rebooted their Workforce Newsletter and wanted a fresh design that was led by a working group. We created a set of characters, with job roles and personality to make it connect with people. Content is driven by the workforce WEST group and written by Sarah Bremner. We handle the design each quarter, for electronic and print versions.

We were recommended to Creating Cabins, by an existing client, to help create their flagship brochure. These lovely cabins are modern, innovative, energy efficient and affordable and we wanted to create a brochure that really sold these beautiful small living spaces. Clear photos, content and floor plans were used on these electronic PDFs and also printed brochures too. The client was delighted with the final product.
We have worked with Step Change in Safety for many years to produce various materials for their work within safety for the Oil & Gas Industry.
We design and print their guidance documents, posters, leaflets, advertising campaigns, event branding and display materials.
We have worked alongside Step Change and representatives from various oil & gas companies to produced 'Safe Working Essentials' - a Simplification Tool which has replaced the individual safety cards used offshore, and is now used by many operators in the North Sea as the standard solution within the sector. We are very proud to have played a key role in this industry wide tool, that potentially saves lives.
Our client RigRun wanted small handy leaflets that could contain a lot of information. We designed these small ‘credit card’ size folded leaflets, with maximum impact of design possibilities when unfolded.
Working with Apache North Sea, Foyer Design designed a booklet that would would explain the Safety Case to the workforce. Using diagrams, clear layout and illustration to enable the understanding for each of their Platforms.
Our print designers create newsletters that look visual, engaging and clear to follow. We can also manage the print and fulfilment if required.
We were given the opportunity to create Befriend a Child’s annual report. We had fun exploring ways to present this one, with layout, colour and bold, fun, dynamic shapes to compliment the content. The client was keen for us to create something that reflected their amazing work with children, but in a professional looking way.
